His debut collection, National Treasures, and debut novel, American Weather, will be published simultaneously by Random House UK/Harvill Secker in 2011. He lives in Macomb, Illinois, and teaches creative writing at Western Illinois University.

Paul LaTour is a freelance writer who spent a decade toiling in the self-destructive newspaper industry. Born in Duluth, Minnesota, he now lives in Aurora, Illinois, with his poet wife Kristin, who continues to provide undying support and inspiration. He did a shoot a gun once, but nobody was hurt.
